Bavarian Forest: Outdoor paradise for those seeking relaxation and athletes!

What is a good hotel? A high degree of comfort, a perfect location and excellent services are fundamental. The Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich combines all of these aspects and has made a name for itself over the years that radiates far beyond the limits of the city

founded in 1841 by Joseph Anton von Maffei, the hotel is one of the most important luxury hotels in Germany. With its 340 elegant rooms, including 60 suites, it offers guests a unique experience. The location in the old town, just a stone's throw from Marienplatz, is a real plus. If you love the city, you will find everything your heart desires here: shops, cultural highlights and culinary delights in the immediate vicinity. In addition, Munich Airport can be reached by car in just 32 minutes, which is not only a great advantage for tourists.

a piece of history

The Bayerische Hof has an eventful story that has experienced many highs and lows in the almost two centuries since its foundation. In 1944 the hotel was almost completely destroyed by an air raid, but the mirror room survived the destruction and was reopened in 1945 as the first restaurant after the war. Until 1961, the hotel was restored in its current form and its legendary atmosphere was preserved. It has been managed by Innegrit Volkhardt, a descendant of the founding family, since 2004.

Remarkable is the large number of prominent guests who housed the hotel over the years, including Empress Elisabeth of Austria and Sigmund Freud. Every room and every salon breathes history and promises its guests a special experience.

luxurious equipment and numerous offers

The Hotel Bayerischer Hof itself offers a comprehensive service that leaves nothing to be desired. The wellness area extends over three floors and includes a sauna, an inner pool and different treatment rooms. Fitness lovers get their money's worth in a fully equipped gym, while the restaurant comes up with a varied breakfast buffet. If you are planning a special evening, you will find something to your taste in the five in -house restaurants.

Modern conference rooms are also available for business travelers who are ideal for conferences and events. With all these advantages, it should not be forgotten that the hotel also regularly organizes cultural events, such as the annual Munich Security Conference in February or the Jazz Summer Event in July.

three attractions for those seeking relaxation

No matter whether you enjoy the historical splendor of Bavarian court or opt for the natural relaxation in the Bavarian Forest, both goals guarantee relaxing hours and unforgettable experiences.
