Berlin, Deutschland - city trips are more popular in Germany than ever. According to a recent survey by Meininger-Hotels and Appinio, 52 % of Germans travel to cities once or twice a year. The Berliners are particularly traveling, 9 % of whom are even more than six times a year. The national average is only four trips. Despite this desire to travel, 14 % of Germans do without city trips, which is particularly noticeable in northern Germany-about 22 % in Schleswig-Holstein and 21 % in Hamburg.

In total, 59 % of city travelers from Germany spend 50 to 100 euros per night and person, 17 % invest between 100 and 200 euros.

The culinary is very popular. 57 %of travelers state that they travel to the city for gastronomic experiences, followed by sightseeing (51 %) and relaxation (39 %).
